Can We Have A Conversation ?
I grew up listening to either the gospel station, or mixtapes my mommy would pick up for us at the beauty supply. Gems like: Kem, Monica, Brandy, and Joe to name a few―were some of the soundtracks of my adolescence. As a result, I decided to write more than a mixtape, but a sonic conversation. Dialouge i've had with myself over the last 9 years with different versions of myself, pain I still hold slightly hostage in my mind, ways i've on/off mourned relationships that no longer exist. Joining together so many fellow st✮rlets in a conversation that I vulnerably shared for the 1st time in my career.
